LOW IMPACT
Unlike most projects that involve the use of heavy equipment, stump grinding is low impact on the surrounding landscape. You don’t need to worry about large, heavy trucks and equipment damaging your manicured lawn, septic system, or driveway when you choose us. At 5D Stump and Tree LLC, most of our work is performed using our Vermeer SC362 stump grinder. This machine weighs just over 1,300 pounds and sits on six rubber tires. Because of its relatively small size and dual rubber tires, the grinder can easily maneuver on turf without tearing up lawns or leaving ruts. After we blow out our tracks in the grass, it’s hard to tell the machine was even there. Other than a missing stump, there is little to no evidence of our visit!

SAFETY FIRST
At 5D Stump and Tree LLC, we prioritize safety. We use UDig NY 811 to check for any underground utilities where we’re working.
Since our work can cause rocks and debris to fly, we take precautions to protect your property. We use a NOTCH TRIGUARD safety mesh panel system when working near homes, vehicles, or any area where flying objects could be a risk.
Services offered
STUMP GRINDING
We remove stumps and roots by grinding them to the preferred depth of the customer. This is typically 4-6″ for grass, but we can go deeper for driveways, concrete pads, gardens or food plots.
Clean up, topsoil, seed and mulch.
Stump grinding produces a large amount of wood chips and mulch. Many customers choose to save money by handling the cleanup themselves. This can be a labor-intensive project that requires equipment and time many people do not have. If you would prefer not to manage the cleanup, we can remove the chips, apply topsoil, seed, and mulch the site, transforming it into a smooth lawn.
CLEARING AND CLEANUP
Do you have an old flower bed, shrubs, or a brushy area you would like cleared out? No problem. We can remove the vegetation, grind out any stumps and roots, and transform unsightly areas into beautiful landscape additions.
